Meet our wonderful new family member, Marvel! She is a beautiful English Springer Spaniel from Maurisa Payne’s Northgate. She was born on December 10, 2014, and came home with us on February 2, 2015. At this writing, she’s just a little more than 8 weeks old. Her name suits her because she is marvelous in every way!

She is from a litter that represents the blending of some of the most select bloodlines in the country. Both parents are the result of outcrossed pedigrees – meaning that neither their sire nor dam are closely related within their own pedigrees. They are both x-rayed and certified clear of hip dysplasia, elbow dysplasia, and certified clear of inherited eye and heart problems.
The father is “Jack” – aka Grand Champion Cambrian N Northgate’s Retroactive. He is the youngest English Springer Spaniel in history to complete his AKC Grand championship title, which he accomplished in September of 2010. He retains this distinction to this day. He is an Award of Merit winner and has 4 Best in Sweepstakes and one Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes wins. He is also the sire of 6 champions and one Grand Champion!
The mother is the beautiful Northgate’s Twinkle Twinkle. She is the daughter of two-time Westminster winner Ch. Wil-Orion’s Twenty Twenty and is out of Ch. Northgate’s Tell It My Way – “Mindy”, a daughter of Northgate’s “Missy” – was on NBC television when she won at the National Dog Show. “Missy” is formally known as Champion Northgate’s Time Will Tell. Missy’s offspring have 6 championship titles. Missy is sired by Northgate’s “Aiden” – AKC Champion Ridgewyn Invocation. “Aiden” completed his AKC championship with 4 majors, including a Specialty major, and is the sire of numerous champions. Both of his parents are National Specialty winners and Best in Show Winners. His father, Ch. Ridgewyn N Belvoir Uprising was Best of Breed at the 2002 National Specialty and his mother was Best in Sweepstakes and RWB from the 6-9 puppy class. His grandsire, Ch. Ridgewyn Legacy, was until recently, the top Specialty winner in the Breed history, having won Best of Breed at our National Specialty on two occasions.

We picked our puppy up from Maurisa in January 31…he was in the 11/28/15 litter. Beautiful puppy. Our son got his three years ago…he lives in Raleigh also.
