On Sunday, April 29, I had the opportunity to serve as guest organist and pianist at White Memorial Presbyterian Church in Raleigh. It was a pleasure working with the talented choirs and gifted Associate Director of Music (and fabulous organist), Nathan Proctor. I thoroughly enjoyed participating in the lovely music, and the experience was made even more rewarding by the warm welcome I received from Nathan, the choristers and congregation. These folks really love to sing, which made the hymns and service music especially inspiring. The sermon by Pastor Christopher Edmonston, entitled The Good Shepherd, provided some very helpful ideas about where our self-reliance ends and our essential reliance on God’s love begins. Thank you to everyone at White Memorial for a wonderful music and worship experience!
